Privacy Policy

This section sets out the terms and conditions that apply to the parents and students participating in tutoring sessions with 'Learn to Shine’.

For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, ‘LTS’, ‘we’, ‘our’ and ‘the company’ will refer to 'Learn to Shine*’.
The parent / student undertakes that they shall not at any time disclose to any person any confidential information concerning the business, affairs, customers, staff or associates at 'Learn to Shine’ with 3rd parties.
We abide by The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) laws which came into effect on 25th May 2018. (www.gov.uk)
We collect information from you when you choose to participate in our services, registration and assessment process, booking, call or email us, contact us via social media, or otherwise engage in sharing information directly with us. The following are examples of information that we may collect directly from you with regard to providing tutoring services to a student:

Name
Email address
Postal address
Telephone number
Payment information and bank account details
Communication preferences
Qualifications, institutions attended
Photographs and videos. (Any photographs or videos taken will be used for marketing and promotional purposes on our Social Media pages and website only and not shared with anyone outside of LTS. Please be aware that LTS staff members will have access to the aforementioned photographs and videos, which will be stored on a secure Google Drive. Photographs and videos are not stored on personal devices by LTS staff members.) Permission is assumed to have been given upon attending tutoring sessions, however, if you would prefer your child not to feature on any marketing or promotional platforms then please make this clear to both the Director and our Admin staff). We use the information we collect to inform you about our events and services and for general communication purposes. The following are examples of how we may use the information that we collect:

To create and manage your account
To send you our newsletter
To send you emails with personalised information about us and about tutoring sessions
Process payments for purchases or services

All personal data relating to you is held securely and in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. Information is not shared with third parties.
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2018 you may request a copy of personal information held about you by 'Learn to Shine’. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to the business address at the bottom of this policy. All requests will be responded to within one month. Before providing personal information to you we will ask for proof of identity and sufficient information about your interactions with us so that we can locate your personal information. If any of the personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or out of date, you may ask us to correct it.
You have the right to object to us processing your personal information if we are not entitled to use it any more and to have your information deleted upon leaving ‘LTS’.
