Service Description

This session is held weekly online with a qualified, experienced Year 1 teacher. Your child will cover the Year 1 curriculum to mastery level (your child does not need to be in Year 1, they may be working at Year 1 level) . Closing learning gaps and using techniques taught in schools to build confidence and reach set goals. Each child will be assessed during each session and the teacher will adapt learning for your child's needs on the spot! You can sit back in the confidence that we will improve your child's knowledge and skills acquisition, including vocabulary, linked directly to the curriculum and their learning levels. Our teacher's are extremely skilled at making learning engaging and interactive, even online. You can expect movement and singing - young children learn by being involved - this can still be achieved online with the right, and properly trained, experienced teacher. These sessions are held on a Wednesday 10.15-11am and Thursday 4.30-5.15pm; full-time or term-time and are paid for in advance, monthly on the 1st. YOUR CHILD WILL NEED: pen, pencil, colouring pencils, laptop / computer/iPad, Zoom, headphones. OPTIONAL: Whiteboard and whiteboard pen, number square, objects to count to 50 (pencils, cherrios, pasta!), box/tub of toys/crafts/stationary etc (nothing sharp, glass, pot). PLEASE NOTE: an email address will be required to send the 'join session' link. If required, a whiteboard, whiteboard pen and laminated number square is available to buy for £10. This will be posted out to you.

Cancellation Policy

During the COVID-19 pandemic, if you need to rearrange, sessions are more flexible and may be rearranged at the tutor's discretion. If a session is missed and not cancelled, we will endeavour to rearrange sessions, which will be at the tutor's discretion. All sessions must be paid for online in advance. No refund will be given if a session is missed or cancelled later than 24 hours prior to session start time.
