Helen

Helen has been teaching in schools across Rotherham and Derbyshire for over 25 years. She has taught every year group from Year 1 to Year 6 and currently works in a Derbyshire primary school as a Year 6 teacher. Helen is also a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).


She holds a PGCE in Primary Education and has a wide range of additional qualifications, including NPQ in Leading Teaching, certified Autism Advocate status, Mental Health Lead training, and she is currently studying for her NPQ in Senior Leadership.


Every child deserves someone who sees their potential and never gives up on helping them reach it.

Helen specialises in supporting children with additional needs through personalised teaching, and she particularly enjoys working one-to-one to help students make meaningful progress. Her depth of experience and calm, nurturing approach allow her to meet students where they are, while gently guiding them forward with patience and positivity.


Helen’s passion lies in making a difference—no matter how big or small. Her supportive and inclusive teaching style helps children build confidence, resilience, and a love for learning.
