Lisa

Lisa has been teaching in EYFS and Key Stage 1 for over 20 years. She specialises in teaching phonics, reading, and Literacy in Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2. With a First Class Honours Degree in Primary Education, Lisa is passionate about creating a strong foundation for young learners, helping them build confidence and fluency in reading. In her previous role, she led Literacy coordination, supporting staff, parents, and other schools in developing effective reading strategies.

Every child deserves the chance to feel confident in their learning. My goal is to make lessons engaging, supportive, and tailored to their needs so they can develop a lifelong love for reading and learning.

Lisa’s strength lies in her ability to scaffold learning, ensuring children feel safe and supported while embracing new challenges. She carefully plans interactive activities that cater to different learning styles, making learning both effective and enjoyable. Her sessions focus on phonics and Literacy, equipping children with the skills they need to become confident, fluent readers.

Lisa’s enthusiasm for teaching is evident in every session. She believes that learning should be fun, encouraging, and inspiring—helping children to not only achieve their potential but also develop a genuine love for reading and learning.
